As I recall ARC had to seriously threaten legal action to get some review samples back. Other companies have had gear come back trashed that was clearly not simple shipping damage.

When a $20K CD player can't even crush ice properly. I am, however, wondering about these parties. Crushed ice? Real men don't drink anything that involves crushed ice, those are girly drinks.

Do you recognize the common factor between these two examples?
I'd have to do some research to see if they all have the same reviewer(s) in common but I believe they all stem from one periodical, not Stereophile.
