Two responses-
1: to follow on from what Tangram said - so, if you figure it out, you will have a copper nut on a plated or brass stud...
Just replace it as suggested...
2: Depends upon when and where built (and in some cases how many were built)
The Castle speakers were built in England, but not everyone jumped on the Metric Bandwagon as quickly, so it could be an older BST (British Standard Thread), or not...
It might be metric,
It may also be crimped or castled so that the nut can NOT come off anyway...
If you really want to have a copper unit- replace

Thank you, that makes sense; I was just hoping there would be some sort of standard in general.
The replacement nuts would actually not be for the Castles, but a little Fosi V3 amp and old Celestions with a 5 way binding post conversion.
