Not for everybody . . .
. . .but since my system is center stage, so to speak, in my living room, I like my projects to look as nice as they sound . . . so I used Front Panel Express to "make" some custom face plates that fit my tastes . . .
They are 4mm "Natural" Anodized Aluminum.
FWIW: this isn't meant to be an ad for Panel Express (this was my first time working with them) but Paul Birkeland, the person I dealt with at PE, happens to be a tube audio fan and was very helpful. I am also having matching panels made for my L3 and 300B monoblocks.
Here is where I should say, " . . .and it improved everything . . . sound-staging, dynamics, etc." . . . but of course it didn't . . .it just improved the aesthetics which is obviously very subjective (like many things in this hobby). . .:-)

Where do you order your acrylic panel from ?
Thanks
It panels I made itself. Sketch in AutoCad program + laser CNC machine.
I thought of doing the same thing for my L3 Sig. a few years ago when I built it, but never got around to it. I did change the red light for a nice blue one however.
