the supply of 100+100uF 500v blackgate wkz caps seems to have run out. i wanted to put them in the power supply of my monos. it was suggested to me to put 220+200uF 350v in series but this seems too expensive and in series i think some of the benefit may be lost
what alternatives do people suggest and how do they compare ?

try Elna Cerafine. Angela still had them the last time I looked. OTOH, you might want to try oil can capacitors. Assuming you have the space. They're usually rated at over 1000v.

I have 4 spare ELNA Cerafine caps, 220+220 350V. I removed them from my M3, removed one channel of the power supply and replaced with BG WKz in a 50/100 combination. The ELNAs are for sale if anyone's interested (is it ok to post items on this forum ?)
