Abe. Yes, both great amps but a difficulty I have in direct comparison in that I don't have a separate preamp. The M33 acts as preamp to the AS but the advantage of balanced us lost. The M33 is much more powerful so each switch of amp require a big volume reset.
In practice I generally use (and am very happy with) the NAD because the AS amps have no trigger so each needs to be turned on and off manually. The AS amps remain unused most of the time but I occasional listen with them in an attempt to justify their cost and onconvenience!
Follow Ups:
I wish more manufacturers included a 12v trigger with there amps and other gear. Not everyone wants to walk across the room and manually power up a pair of amps after conveniently turning ON their preamp with a Remote control. I get it. A 12v trigger IS a buying consideration for me even though it doesn't do anything for sound quality.

We've built our class D amps with a 12V trigger as a favor to a customer. The tricky bit is sorting out if that's an important feature or not.
It surely is an important factor, particularly with mono amps.Stereo amps are normally located in an equipment rack with other audio units that may need manual intervention, but monos are ideally placed close to speakers and often out of sight and difficult to turn on or off manually.
Also monos need both units to be switched on and they may well be 15 ft apart from each other.
I have been looking for alternative means to turn on and off my A-S amps. There are extension blocks that will de-activate some of their sockets (connected to power amps) when the preamp's demand drops below 1 watt as EU devices should when put into standby, but unfortunately most such preamp (eg my NAD M33 when used as a preamp) consume several watts as "Standby" isn't the deep sleep that Standby demands and therefore the Slave outlets remain on continuously. That may not make much sense to you but Energenie, a UK company offer such an extension block. I've suggested they change the activation to be such that something like sub-8 Watts demand by the Master should turn off the Slave-connected units. They are considering this modification.
Meanwhile my A-S amps are rarely used because of the lack of trigger. You really should include triggers as standard,Ralph, particularly in mono amps.
