I have the old blue note vinyl referenced in the title and was trying to figure exactly what it is, and the sellers of albums all mentioned an " ear " in the dead wax.
the record seems to have all the stuff mentioned in the sellers descriptions , but I don't know if a couple of squiggles in the dead wax are called "ears" of if I have a later copy.
it does say users of wide range equipment should adjust their controls to the RIAA curve. so it seems pretty old.
I didn't know it was anything special when I bought it used for $4.99 long ago, I just wanted the record. if it is a big deal , some collector can have it and I will buy myself a new pressing.
when I was a kid, and my parents would infrequently take the family to the beach, I noticed the only guy that had lines around the block at the lighthouse cafe was cannonball adderley. So I realized he was someone special, but had no idea of his work
