I seriously question your suggestion that replacing the tuned frequency steel springs with a completely different elastomeric response would improve the sound. Just because a spring is " bouncy" does not mean that is a flaw that must be corrected. As A mater of fact, I see eliminating the bounce as the only thing this product achieves, and have never heard of the suspension response being a known sonic problem that must be corrected.I have no issue with people that want to modify stuff for just the heck of it. Millions of dollars of automobile air intakes are sold for just that reason, although some buyers might believe the pie in the sky promises on the box, forgetting that modern cars have everything interdependently computer tuned for maximum efficiency, and that changing the intake length will probably only lessen efficiency.
My main beef with " Pete's Pylons" is that they originally were constructed using the endangered ebony wood, which hit me as completely irresponsible. I also felt the product claims were completely irresponsible without any supporting testing , given that this approach and materials were well known at the time Michell designed the product, and he made other choices .
But , who can say the price of happiness. According to the web site, best product ever.
