I can't remeber where I saw the instructions of how to DIY a Symposium platform clone so I had to do this from memory.
I have 2 pieces of 3/4" thick MDF between which I will sandwich a 1/2" thick sheet of styrofoam. The part I didn't recall was how thick the aluminum top and bottom plates have to be for these platforms. Since MDF can warp, I'm assuming that the aluminum sheets are for structural integrity. Unfortunately, aluminum starts becoming *really* expensive at anything greater than 0.1" thick. Does anyone have insights?Any advice (and or photos) would be most appreciated.
