Hello MB,The problem you describe is a classis failure symptom of a back-up battery. Open the tuner and look for a small 1/2" to 3/4" diameter coin shaped battery. Replace it (probably soldered in) and all should be well. If you want to verify the battery is faulty before replacement, you could clip a multimeter to the battery to verify that the battery charge is not being held after turn-off.
SAFETY WARNING: Do not attempt repairs or monitoring of mains powered equipment unless appropriately experienced and qualified.
