Hi MB,
It should not be a battery, it can also be a large electrolytic cap.
Mostly located near a microprocessor for the presets. You can measure some voltage during the time the tuner keeps its memory. When you have found the cap and replaced, also replace the diode connecting the cap to the supply by a 1N4004 type. The original diode has gotten leaky by the large inrush current to the cap when you switch on the tuner.
