Hi Joost,I can't really help you but I can tell you what the error codes mean assuming they are the same as the CD-63. I expect they will be as the two players are extremely similar and use the same transport, analogue section etc. (All they did was use a different decoder and move the RF amp to the underside of the transport.) I don't see why they would change the error codes except to add some extra ones.
Error Code - Error
02 = FOCUS
07 = SUB CODE
08 = T.O.C. (table of contents I presume)
09 = DECODER
10 = RADIAL
11,12 = SLED
13 = SPINDLE
16-20 = SEARCH
30 = DOOR
31 = TRAY
32-47 = KEY INPUTSo, you have a SUB-CODE ERROR and a RADIAL ERROR.
With that information maybe someone with more knowledge can advise you.For anyone else having trouble with a Marantz of that era (CD43,53,63 etc.) you get into service mode by holding play and stop buttons as you switch on. You can then do other tricks but if you just press play it will play as normal but give you an error code whenever it runs into trouble.
Regards,
Glenn.
