A good friend asked me if I could improve his DAC. It is good enough, that simply buying something significntly better would cost $$$.
It is AudioNote DAC2. Tubed DAC with 69 Burr Brown chips and no digital filter, just silver wire passive filtering.
Do you think that I could just add a small 0,01 uF foil cap as a bypass to every electrolytic cap inside (there is maybe 30 of them). I could even replace lytics with foils for up to 4.7uF (because of size). Anything else would require a major rework of already good schematics.
A-N uses SAME schematics in DACs 1 to 5, the latter costing some 17 000 USD, changing only components quality (K rated dacs and Black Gate caps).
My friend is looking for more detail and less wooly bass).

Any input appreciated.
