I used polystyrene from RS components can't remember the make - voltage for all polys is about >100V I think?Elso Kwak has a schematic for a low jitter clock which will use ur existing quartz clock on the transport. He will e-mail u schematic - much cheaper than other options.
Here are 2 URLs of interest . The first(in French) with some measurements on the tweaks - my babelfish translations are not that clear and sometimes it is confusing but I believe there are 2 mods
- replace 47uF output Caps with 5uF bypassed with 150nF
- take out all mute transistors on output
(I implemented these - good results - careful the pcb tracks are delicate for desoldering & resoldering)The second URL - a complete discussion on CD723 mods (u will need to register at delphi forums to access)- only problem is it's in French - do you parlez?
