If you want the reduced noise of "wet playing," maybe you should instead try an Audio Technica OC9ML cartridge, which is so quiet playing a signal-less groove, I sometimes wonder if it is even playing at all- It sounds as if the arm got cued-up somehow. It is **that** quiet.It may not be the best-sounding cartridge, but the two things the AT OC9ML do **exceptionally** well are inner groove tracing and near-total absence of mechanical noise from the stylus-groove interface.
