I have found that a granite slab under my audio rack tightened the bass up a hair. It did not make a huge change, but none the less, it worked for me. Some people place drinking straws in the ports of their speakers. Spiked speakers on carpet have tighter bass than non-spiked speakers on carpet. These are just a few tweaks that I have heard of...
