Do cables need to be "re" burned in?

Thanks again!

I'm going to look into those Beldan cables that you recommend. I just managed to get online for the first time in a couple days (thanks be to my local phone company's sterling service...) and you've got one heck of a nice site! My compliments! There's enough material there that it'll take a while to fully digest it (and experiment with it).

By the way, my old DIY cables seem to be smoothing out with use. I don't think that it's my imagination, since I have a couple of test tracks that I'm VERY familiar with....that sibilance in the female voice seems to have moderated a lot and yet they have retained that sense of being musically "right" (I'm starting to catch myself tapping my feet to the music again....).

Do cables need to be "re" burned in if they've been out of service for a couple of years?

By the way, thanks for the info on biwiring; I tried it out on a lark about a year ago and was blown away with the improvement to clarity in the sound! My friends here all thought I was crazed to run all that extra wire. Now I can see some reasons that biwiring works!

Thanks again for all of the information and advice!!

Enjoy your music,
Morse
