Gorilla Glue

This glue requires water to cure. There may not be enough water in MDF to cure since MDF is compressed an cooked during production, its relative moisture content may be as low as 4%. Wetting the surface helps the glue to cure but may delaminate the hard surface making the joint weakened. Gluing MDF with water based glues is tricky business when the surfces are so large. The water has nowhere to go but into the material itself. Things like epoxy, liquid nails, contain solvents that do not softwn MDF as much as water does, they are a better choice also because they have gap filling properties like Gorilla without the water.
