I tried both the V-pods and BDR cones and liked the BDR cones better. The V-pods when placed under my CD Transport made the soundstage compressed and they softened the sound dramatically resulting in reduced clarity and focus. However, if you have a low-end CDP with a rather edgy sound, the V-pods may well be the solution, IMHO.
