was the Daletech powercords had NO shielding. The three conductors had an equivalent sized polyethylene tube placed between each lead and in the center.

It is a relatively simple construction and should be very easy to implement. I do not know why others, particularly in the audiophile community, do not emulate it. I do not believe it is even patented.

IMHE, I find shielded cords to sound a bit muted and dynamically restricted, although you sometimes have to trade off the noise factors.
That was one reason why I found the Daletech cords to be a God send (unfortunately they were available only in up to 16 gauge).

I actually contacted Belden and a few others but the 5000+ feet minimum was a bit much
