Geoff, there are aftermarket cartridge screws, upgraded cartridge wires, etc....that are certainly worthy of being considered tweaks.
There are those who claim some tweaks can affect how CD laser photons get from point A to point B, as well. CD mats, pen tweaks for the edges of a CD - that would be almost a nanometer thickness tweak, if you think it is a tweak.
Not sure why the chauvinism about what meets your criteria to be considered a "tweak."
Google a product you don't seem to be aware of called "Stylast" and tell us if it qualifies for your tweak question and how you would rate it according to your size qualifications.
Tweaks are more than something some so-called manufacturer may buy and repackage as a "tweak," you know.
What is the thickness of mu metal foil? Does it meet your criteria?
If we are on one of your secret "Let's talk about me, Geoff, without me actually saying it's about that" threads, let us know up front.
Otherwise, there are many small 'tweaks' that can make relatively large sonic differences!
I haven't noticed a significant benefit (and it may be bacause I tend to freshen up my connections) but as small a thing as a contact enhancing compound that makes for better maintenance of electrical connections may operate at the micrometer or smaller level, as well.
Proper grounding is a pet tweak of mine, and there is no specific size requirement, but that may also be an example of a 'small' tweak that works with a micrometer range of contact, as well.
Microfiber carbon brushing may work at the level of individual LP grooves to have a sonic benefit. An LP groove can be 5 microns in width at the lowest tracking point.
A D'Stat gun can tweak an LP at the level of free electrons. Pretty damn small!
