Herbie's Big Fat Dot (dBNeutralizer material) Report

I recently posted an audiophile adventure into Herbie's Audio Lab Soft Fat Dot vs. the original formula Big Fat Black Dot when positioned under a pair of classic B&W Matrix 805 monitors placed on classic Sound Anchor 805 Stands:

Next up (and final answer) is the Big Fat Dot made with Herbie's dBNeutralizer material:

The product descriptors as found at Herbie's web site, "lightning-fast response", "amount of vibration-blocking "beef" involved", "blocking soundwave energies" precisely apply to the nature of the Big Fat Dot footer as per my evaluations.

As does the Herbie's thick dBNeutralizer pad designed for cone and/or coupling disc applications, the Big Fat Dot seems to quickly affect on the macro level like non-compliant footers tend to do rather than that of "squishy" materials that tend to present a level of "boing factor" within their sonic signatures which can produce a notable amount of coloration.

The Big Fat Dot is a ruthless animal in that tonal bloom within the presentation seems to be reduced but not in a clinical manner -- more in an "architectural" sense than utterly analytical -- the life of the music is not sucked-out of the soundstage along with what seems intended to be the target.

There may be a tweak or two that custom tunes the Big Fat Dot for particular applications, I must wonder (since I've already tried a couple of tweaks with interesting results...). See link below:

A+++

Cheers, Duster
