concave chrome over cast zinc, pull, chrome steel ball, rope caulk, fender washer + machine screw and CAE damping square applied to bottom of rosette. Maybe it was the very light kiln dried maple which just did not dance well with the signal for me.I experimented with more variations based on found junk... same pulls mated to steel nylocks filled with caulk, machine screw & fender washer things got better. I could 'tune' them by placing them on cutting board or thick arcylic.
Mated to aluminum urethane scooter wheel with a ring of CAE self adhesive damping on the bottom. This recipe had the best balance detail-warmth. I still use 'em here and there.
