concave chrome over cast zinc, pull, chrome steel ball, rope caulk, fender washer + machine screw and CAE damping square applied to bottom of rosette. Maybe it was the very light kiln dried maple which just did dance well with the signal for me.
I experimented with more variations based on found junk... same pulls mated to steel nylocks filled with caulk, machine screw & fender washer things got better. I could 'tune' them by placing them on cutting board or thick arcylic.
Mated to aluminum urethane scooter wheel with a ring of CAE self adhesive damping on the bottom. This recipe had the best balance detail-warmth. I still use 'em here and there.
