Al,
Glad to have you weigh in. I could be wrong but, my understanding of the fuse panel is that if the circuit breakers are on the same side of the panel, odd number or even numbered breakers, than they are indeed on the same leg. These are both even numbered, one over top of the other on the right side of the panel, which would indicate to me that they are on the same leg. I am curious about the test though. Please help me understand that if I insert one probe tip into the smaller blade hole of the outlet and the other probe tip into the other smaller blade hole of the same duplex outlet or the other outlet on the other side of the room? Not clear on this, could you clarify please?
With regard to noisey appliances, what do you think of the idea of putting ferrite collars around the appliances power cords instead of the ferrite collars, on and effecting the sounds of the audio components power cords. In other words, treat the offender(s) intead of the offended.
