I usually have low expectations for footer products. I have a collection of other products in boxes that get called into play at times.
The MIGs seem different. I use them on top of FIM based rock maple bearing platforms supporting components and the effect is significant. You'd think it would hard to improve things with good measures already in place.
It does seem to take awhile to settle in when MIGs are first deployed or or have been moved. But their value was pretty obvious pretty quickly. I suppose you can spend weeks dialing them in in terms of position and pin point/ambient effect to maximize or minimize the effect.
Other footers used under my Esoteric UX-1 did not seem to have much effect beyond what the platforms offered but it is easy to hear increased resolution with the Esoteric when inserted between the platform and chassis. I am also using one with an Atma-Sphere S30 and it is easy to hear the effect over the bearing platform and tube dampers already in play. I am looking forward to trying more.
