Plug it in and listen for transformer hum. If it hums, turn it off and look into a step-down transformer of the bucking arrangement suggested by wheezer.
If you are worried that your line voltage might be too high for it, then turn on the dryer before you turn on the amp. This should knock the line voltage down by a few volts.
Chances are that the transformer has some extra voltage capability. "110" used to be the standard USA voltage for branch circuits, and the label may simple reflect that.
