Well this is something of a tricked question indeed defintely the EP15A was the beter piece, but it will greatly depend upon the rest of your system and the synergy in it to be able to tell you what wil be better for you and in your case and circyumstances.
I have a few of the power conditioners at hand I have Exact Power EP-15 and SP-15 as well though they work together very well, the largest effect is done by the Ep15.
now if you have tubes in your system or if your mains voltage is fairly stable, ( within a +or- 4 % from 117VAC is pretty good and stable)if that si what you have and have mixed digital and tubed gear like most of us around here you are a perfect candidate for a Running Springs Audio system.
I have a couple fo them here and they are wonderful sounding, it will smooth out all wrinkles in your AC lines, not so much technology or complications of engineering like feedforward amplifiers etc. but a simple high quality device that will clean up and even out your voltages to minimize peaks and valleys and will help get rid of a lot of noise in your system.
I use APC UPS's, then Exact Power Modules, also Running Springs Audio stuff, Monster Power conditioners with elegant voltage and Ampere meters, and also tested and tried some Shunyata, BP, and other so called audiophile stuff some of them better than others, overall the RSA seems to do the best trick for the buck. Send me a PM if you want more information or want to chat about it
My 2 cents.
Take care; enjoy the music;
Gonzalo
