Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Check me on this as I am completely on the learning curve. I have a phono stage X that has a variety of loading options. One is 50000 Ohms and another is 100000 Ohms.
My target for making resistance loading plugs is 61800 Ohms, or close to that. My first question is in regards to series or parallel. If I understand right I would keep the unit at 50000 Ohms and ad something close to 12000 Ohm 5w resistor, wiring it from the inside of of a male RCA to the outside, and then adding that loaded male RCA to a Y adapter.
Also looking to suggestions regarding a decent quality resistor for this task. Thanks.
