thoughts on AC voltage fluctuations?

it seems that 120v coming from the wall is rarely achieved in practice; i've measured less than 117v and greater than 125. now, no doubt there's added crap on the lines, but i'm wondering how much the fluctuations @ 120 (the ideal) are detrimental to sound?

it'd stand to reason that as soon as the equipment's transformer gets it, its immaterial---secondaries turn it into some fraction of 120, and then the rectifiers turn it into DC. but i've never measured if fluctuations @ 120 lead to fluctuations on the secondaries, or on rectified DC.

thoughts?
