Ah yes DC and simple resistive loads vs AC and reactive loads is a very complex thing. Above me. Both of my amps have been fine work horses (Both Conrad Johnson)I don't know the reason for the improvements with these units but I'm very happy and I could DIY them. I've tried them at the amp end, speaker end and both ends. I like both ends. No problems here.
I had some speakers by Oz audio that had a Zoebel which I think was intended to be a smoothing notch around 5K. Can't remember. Thank you for your post, my house is full of your DIY recipe traps.
