Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I have posted a couple of times, trying to seek advice for getting/making a 12V DC power supply for my Dacmagic. (Thanks to Duster and John Swenson who helped out) When just about to take the plunge, I found that it is actually an AC POWER SUPPLY that I should be looking for!!!!!
As I understand, the regulation of the Dacmagic takes place in the machine, not the power supply. In this case, would a bigger/nicer 12V toroid attached with nice cables do the trick in improving sound, or should something else be added to it? I am/will be plugging the power supply into a power conditioner in any case. My phono stage (a Densen) benefited quite well simply from a bigger toroid way back when.
Please advise. Thanks.
