I once replaced my Acoustic Zen Satori speaker wire with two short runs of magnet wire. I did clean off all ends of their enamel. I sold the A-Z.
When I once went to the Magico website. They showed the x-over of their mini speaker. The leads coming from the x-over had three different guages of magnet wire. The tweeter run had all small guage, the run to the woofer had slightly larger guages.
Try your magnet wire. Get some varying guages. First listen with the wires seperated by 1 inch or less, than try bending them away from each other. See which sounds best in your system. Remember air is the best dielectric.
