In the output stage of my DAC, I initially tried the Mundorf SIO and did not like them. They sounded exactly as you have described and I also found them to be more tilted towards the top end. They were well broken in. After trying many more brands (loss of $$$) I finally settled on the Cardas golden ratio caps. They are silky smooth with a lot of body and richness with no loss in resolution and fantastic bass impact.
I find the Mundorf SIO to be overrated and not to my liking.
