I have an AES AE-25 SuperAmp in which the power transformer noticeably (at five feet or closer) hums. When I remove the KT-88s and install EL34s the hum is cut in half.
Is there any tweak that can be done to cut back the PT hum significantly without disturbing the amp's performance? This is not a problem, but it is an annoyance.
