I certainly agree on cable routing.
I also agree on your preference for natural over synthetic carpets. I'm assuming my carpet is synthetic but it came with the house. When it comes time to replace it I would definitely prefer to go for wool but I'm not going to simply replace the carpet while it's still in very good shape. And I dread the thought of removing the bookcases, CD shelves and system in order to replace the carpet. Moving a system always gives you second thoughts but 8 square metres of bookcase plus a couple of square metres of CDs takes a lot more work than moving a system. Then you have to move it back. Life has hidden joys :-(
