Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ.

On my hardwood floors and pure wool carpets...

... I notice little or no difference in sound when I elevate my speaker cables or powercords. But I think that I do notice a difference when I take care with cable routing - avoiding parallel runs between different cables and by routing powercords as far away as possible from interconnects and speakers cables. Just my system and my ears, perhaps? I'm betting that cable elevators would help if my carpets were made from synthetic material, due to static electricity and the like, but I'm careful to avoid the use of synthetic rugs.
