I guess technically speaking, you bypass inexpensive higher value electrolytics with a low value film/foil cap. But the wiring is still parallel.
As for the 5.0uFd vs. the 4.7uFd, you could probably get by with that substitution. But there shouldn't be a problem getting a .33uFd cap to parallel with the 4.7uFd to reach the desired value.
