Don't use multiple transformers in parallel.

Some transformers have multiple secondary windings on the same core, and it is common practice to wire them in parallel to get more current capability (better regulation). However, two different transformers will have slightly different coupling ratios. If you put them in parallel, one will do most of the work and may overheat.

It is better to get an oversized transformer. Check out Halted Specialties (HSC) in Santa Clara or Rohnert Park for surplus transformers cheap.
