I see now what I can try. I'm not sure if you noticed the 4 basstraps I have in this room. I only labeled 2 of them. The reason I can't have the speakers further into the room is because they would be too close to the chairs. Especially the two side chairs which are set in front of each spaeker. The reason the chairs are so close to the speakers is because this is also a home theater. Placing my speakers 4ft into the room then the chairs another 8ft back would be way to far away from the screen to enjoy movies. So it's a compromise. I thought that to make up for a tower speaker so close to the front wall that you can place acoustic obsorbtion sound panels behind each speaker. Helps with back port noise. I've seen alot of demo's at the RMAF and dealers rooms with sound panels behind each speaker.
My screen is anchored by two drywall screws from the top. The bottom of the screen is just resting against the wall. I was thinking of taking 1/2" thick cotton batting and tack a layer to the entire backside of the screen. That should work and be easy to do.
