Thanks for that Al. What do you mean exactly by mechanical isolation issues?!
Also if the 2700 is possibly suffering from RF problems might I be better off using a interconnect with a microphone type lead that has a twisted pair and a shield grounded at the source end? (rather than a more standard coaxial interconnect)? Might this help the thiness and give me a fuller sound more like the 216?
