The ideal we're shooting for is the least editorializing.... IMO Oyaide *does* editorialize in an essentially good way.... which is a major step up from junque grade that gives a smoggy, flattened, smeary sound.... even with the P&S there was vastly greater separation of the sonic ingredients which had been homogenized into the musical equivalent of chili... The Oyaides I do have, a XXX (the "champagne" sound), and a GX.. (a fine old bas armagnac ?) are attractive in that way, maybe the FIMs or R-1 gets one more tinted layer of film out of the way ?
