Hi.
Yes, you've pointed out the dark side of the cruel truth.
The American/Canada electric codes permit the AC mains wall sockets (or "receptables") be wired in cascading one after another. So the outputs of one socket (live, neutrual AND ground) serve as the I/Ps of the next wall outlet, & repeating on & on.
This means the electrical/electronic craps due the the loading, coming out from 1st outlet (from the breaker panel) or any outlets prior to the outlet used to power the audio rig will very likely get into the audio rig as well. 'Casue all outlets are sharing the same buse lines.
All these powerlines looping behind the walls & buried under the floors are ready receiving & re-transmitting antennae of EMI/RFI noises.
This does not take into the account of possible lousy installation workmanship & wiring boo-boos by the wiremen.
With so many question marks ahead of the powerline hidden behind the wall, under the floor, why not bypass them all by running dedicated powerlines hookup direct from the breaker panal to the audio rig?
Technicaly speaking, the use of exotic wall outlets will not be an major issue any more.
That's what I've done for my rig since day one I moved in my house many many year ago.
