RE: relatively inexpensive power filter/conditioners

On the specs, it says that the power consumption is:
300 watts idle
550 watts in accordance with IEC-65

I have also read somewhere that it draws over 1300W max.

Given that it is a 100 pound amp that runs hot and has a huge transformer in it, I suppose that it does draw a bit of power.

Please advise.
