Thanks Al!My rack is made of alu pipes that I filled with sand. As you can see, I also have a sort of rails (BTW the rack is much more beatiful than the picture). But I decided to add shelves made of laminated glass on the top of the rails.
Note that when I fix 4 steel balls on the feet of the CD player (Quad 99 CDP2) and put a weight of roughly 5 kilos on the top of the player (on the laminated glass), I get more bass response. Is this somehow equivalent to your roller balls?
I'll try using MDF and see if I get more bass, thanks again.
