I recently posted mention of a “mystery†AC plug for sale on eBay. The decision to post this follow-up posed a moral dilemma since the product is so unethical. I figure it’s better to expose it rather than to keep quiet about my findings. Even though the eBay item is not listed as being an Oyaide product, it is clearly “marked†as such (it’s definitely not an Oyaide).The AC plug’s face and shell is "branded" as Oyaide, with even the metal badge being marked P-037 (which uses a different font than Oyaide, BTW). It's “silver coating†is rhodium plating, but the blades are *not* polished like an Oyaide. Who knows what the base metal is. It's a real pity to see such a blatant counterfeit being sold. I would say more about this item, but I don't want to give the product any credibility (posting another link to it is bad enough):
