In this kind of DIY world, you're on your own. For instance, I'm using 8 of them, in three rows (3/2/3) under a 18x22x2" maple platform which is, in turn, under a 75 lb. turntable (same width/depth dimensions). It's a re-plinthed Lenco L75 with two arms, and the dead balls completely eliminated any resonance problems on the shelf underneath all this, yet it's extremely "alive" sounding.Nobody has asked how I keep the whole shebang from rolling off the shelf. Each dead ball is sitting in a "Lavatory Drain Gasket" I found at my favorite hardware store (Strosniders, in Bethesda, MD). These are 1 1/4" ID rubber thingies into which the dead balls fit perfectly. Works like a charm. I'm also using the dead balls in the same gaskets under my SET mnonoblocks and linestage. Obviousliy, they make the most sense when they're supporting something heavy, not one of the lightweight suspensionless turntables or CD players, for instance.
