If you have a specific recommendation on the High-Voltage diodes, PLS pass it on.
The same diodes we were speaking for your recent amp. as I mentioned, these are what I use in the Canes.
Thx for the clue on the 1st pair of couplers; I'd have ordered the wrong ones.
I have learned not to pre-order anything without comparing the schematic to the circuit first on any of the ASL gear.
After much deliberation, I decided on the Cardas Golden Ratios.
Let me know how they are. I have never tried these in the Canes. For my more affordable mods, I use the AuriCaps and love'em. There is also the SoniCap Gen II which has a very similar presentation to the Auri. I will be building some Monsoons with the Auricaps when I get time
What's your favorite output tube? I'm reading lots of good stuff here on the Penta solid-plate version. Have accumulated lots of 'N7s including a few Russian versions. I'll be sorting those for months!
Output tubes - depends on what you are looking for. I use Sovtek 6550WEs for system testing as they are very reliable and affordable. For my systems, I will be using the EH KT88 in some amps and the Shuguang KT88 in others.
For the 6SN7s this varies greatly (as much as personal taste for output tubes). Right now I am using some NOS RCA variations but like anything else audio, YMMV. This is a matter of what you will like. For current production, I like the EH. I also have some NOS RCA 6SL7 tubes for the Monsoons.
