Need Advice On Configuring Dedicated Outlet (Newbie to This)

I am having an electrician put in a dedicated power outlet. One audio dealer suggested 10 gauge wire and a 30A line (yes, 30A). The electrician is skeptical. I'm wondering about this considering that the receptacle and power cord (both Shunyata) are rated for 20A. The electrician doubts that the components will draw that much and if they do, they could overheat the outlet if he installs at 30A.

Any suggestions as to specifics of how I should be configuring this outlet and line?
