Re: Thoughts on alternative materials/construction for VH Fine Silver ICs

I have made 6 pairs of the "Fine Silver interconnects". I can promise that no matter how or what you do to strengthen or secure the tiny wire structurally inside the plugs, IT WILL BREAK, period. Unless you leave it completely alone. And, it could easily (as they have with mine) break just beyond the plug. If that happens and you have perenantly sealed the inside of your plug, then you will need new plugs. This is the best sounding interconnect that I have used and is definately worth the occasional break and resolder. I have found that the best protection is to leave them be, or ,if you must move them, always firmly grasp the entire rca plug with the inside of your fist. Then simply flex your fist and the plug will be gently forced off the femali input without putting any stress on the wire.

Jeeez Loueeez! Exactly what wire are you using? That's just unacceptable.
