Sometimes it seems like everything is interdependent; if not directly, then indirectly. Change footers, or shelf, and it can have an effect with tube dampers and other isolation/vibration tweaks, as to how the overall delivery synergizes. If the result seems to overdampen, you can slide HAL-Os down near the base of the tubes where they're still effective but not overly so. Depends a lot on the tubes, too. Some very good tubes, Siemens gold-pin in particular, really blossom beautifully with HAL-Os and sound more focused, less fuzzy (more like some of the best Amperex, to me). Others (Valvo, Sovtek) don't come to life so greatly with HAL-Os, at least with my system, but even then they do a lot better than without HAL-Os.You're going to have some microphonics issues shared by the tubes and platforms and some issues that are independent of one another. I say give 'em a try if you're so inclined, input and output tubes (or just the input/driver tubes if you want to start out more cautiously).
